The Heritage Center serves as a museum that showcases the Historical Society’s Collections. It is used as a resource for educating about the area’s rich history. It also serves as a visitor’s center for suggestions on things to do and see in the area.

Volunteer at the Front Desk

Since its opening in 2005, the Palmerton Area Heritage Center has been served by a dedicated group of faithful volunteers. These volunteers answer questions, conduct tours, handle the sale of merchandise, and provide a variety of helpful information to the visitors that come into the Center. The information provided might include the name of a good place to eat or directions to a particular spot in the area. Typical shifts during the hours of operation are two hours in length.
