FUTURE EXHIBIT OPENINGS:
The Steering Committee is in charge of planning the Featured Exhibits at the Palmerton Area Heritage Center. The committee takes many factors into consideration when planning future exhibits, such as past subject matter, available memorabilia, special community events, and even the time of year.
Current themes under review include:
" The History of Education in the Palmerton Area
" Palmerton Area Businesses
"Stay tuned" to the Website for updates; but remember, suggestions are always welcome!
The Society encourages people to lend or donate memorabilia, family items, and photographs to the society for use at the Heritage Center and/or to add to the Archives. Photographs can be copied if donating them is not an option.

SELF GUIDED TOURS:
A fun type of tour activity at the Heritage Center is the "Treasure Hunt." The visitor is given a question sheet which requires searching for answers by referring to the display boards and cases. This Self-guided Tour provides the benefit of direction while allowing the visitor to proceed at his or her own pace.

INDIVIDUAL or GROUP TOURS:
The Palmerton Area Heritage Center has a staff volunteers on duty who are capable of answering questions from visitors or to conduct Individual or Group Tours of the Heritage Center. These tours are available during the hours of operation:
Wednesday 12:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.
Thursday 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Friday 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Saturday 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

HISTORIC BUS TOURS:
On these tours, the Historical Society's on-board guide provides a running narration that emphasizes the historic details about the town, its architecture, and its various cultures.
