Membership in the Society entitles members to:
~~~~~ A FREE SUBSCRIPTION to the PAHS quarterly newsletter "The Scribe."
~~~~~ DISCOUNTS on certain events and items for sale.
~~~~~ NO CHARGE for research assistance at the Archives.
~~~~~ A DISCOUNT on copies of research materials.
A membership is valid from January to December. The annual membership drive begins in September. Any membership received after September 1st is applied to the next year. Once a membership is received, a membership card is sent. The card may be required for certain up-coming activities and to received discounts on certain items for sale.
Through the funds from our memberships, the society is able to realize the goals set forth in our mission statement. The funds help to maintain The Palmerton Area Heritage Center, The Little White Church and the society's archives. As the society and its work expand in these areas, the funds necessary to realize those expansions also increase. The society is grateful for the generosity of our members and friends and greatly appreciates all the support and interest.
The Palmerton Area Historical Society is always happy to welcome new members to our group. Membership in the society makes a good gift, especially a stocking stuffer at Christmas time. For those former area residents who no longer live in town, and have children who are not familiar with your hometown history, our quarterly newsletter, "The Scribe", has interesting items which have been found in the archives.
